Dr. Smith is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest University, where she also holds a courtesy appointment in the African American Studies Program. Her current courses are Entrepreneurial Marketing and Black Entrepreneurship in America. Within her first month, Dr. Smith secured a Mellon Foundation-funded course enhancement grant

Dr. Smith was also recently named Affiliate Faculty for the Center for Arts, Migration, + Entrepreneurship at the University of Florida.
